Are you excited to see The Hobbit? At this point my enthusiasm is kind of deflated like, 6 years ago. Yeah I will see it but I think I've grown out of Lord of the Rings Trilogy and Tolkien and Peter Jackson and co.

i really liked lotr trilogy because i was like 12 or even younger. maybe even like 10 years old? i thought it was the best

but then when i rewatched it i didnt really find the animation on gollum to be too good but the damage was not really done as i never pursued rewatching it or anything. i still have warm memories of the movies

i think the hobbit will be good though i guess... should have hi-fi 3D camera bullshit and should look even more gorgeous than last time

well i also like martin freeman

I only really like the LOTR movies for the scenery and atmosphere. The story? Meh. And the third movie was shite.

scenery and atmosphere? you mean like Discovery channel? I don't know about you, but I don't watch 9 hours of Nature channel just to breath in the elfin air.

It's like I watch the movies all the time. I'm saying that's the only reason I like them.

I'm mostly concerned about breaking up The Hobbit into three movies. It just seems like a cash grab to me. I love Martin Freeman though, and will watch just to get more Ian McKellan as Gandalf. I quite like the earlier trilogy, it's good fun.
