Black Cheese Books

Post by horsegreecewhiskey » Tue Jan 10, 2012 9:07 pm

I haven't read that many books and don't read that often I'm too depressed for that shit. I guess I just wanted to indulge in some ocd activity for a while so here it is, folks. Starting with 2008 when I began reading a bit more and discovered the true power of books. I think I like all books I ever read. Books are so fun but you have to be patient it's not easy for todays kids like me to settle down reading one of these! Auster is my first love and sometimes I think I've become a character in one of his novels. Might've forgotten something here, dunno. Gotta read all the books I acquired I got like 12 unread...

2008:

New York Trilogy 5/5
Mr. Vertigo 3/5
In The Country of Last Things 4/5
Moon Palace 5/5

2009

Hunger 5/5
The Music of Chance 4/5
Man in the Dark 3/5
Kinski Uncut 4/5
Conquest of the Useless 3/5
Post Office 4/5
The Red Notebook 4/5

2010

Ham On Rye 5/5
Post Office 4/5
The Brooklyn Follies 4/5

2011

Boyhood 4/5
Youth 4/5
Invisible 4/5

Unfinished over the years (I hate unfinished books. If you've read a page you gotta read it all man)

A Fan's Notes 50p
Oracle Night 130p
Factotum 30p
The Book of Illusion 30p
Bukowski stuff

2012

500 books

Great book. A solid part of my 2009 autumn.

I'd read 50 a year if the modern world didnt distract me so much.

Oracle Night and Book of Illusion are the two best Austers! What were you thinking?
